La Gran Piedra Protected Natural Landscape is one of the most beautiful sites in the province. A huge rock placed more than 1,100 meters above sea level and whose estimated weight is around 70,000 tons, it is an exceptional viewpoint from which to enjoy the splendid scenery offered by the Sierra Maestra. In addition, very close by are located important ruins of coffee settlements declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
