Monument located in the central Guaicanamar park, pays tribute to the Reglan militiamen who fell in Playa Girón, in defense of the sovereignty of the incipient Cuban socialist revolution. At the base of the pedestal, a bronze plaque shows in relief the list of the names of the 15 martyrs who, as part of the 123rd battalion, faced the mercenaries who, supported by the Government of the United States, landed during the night of December 16. April 1961 at a point in the south of the current province of Matanzas.
