The monument is a granite block in the shape of a pyramid on which rests a bronze sculptural group that represents the mother of the Maceos, standing, holding one of her children and directing him to continue the fight for the homeland. This is a work made in Rome by the Cuban sculptor Teodoro Ramos Blanco.</span></pre>
